Lafayette Parish Schools Propose Calendar For Next Year

The current school year is just about over. Just in time for Summer vacation,Lafayette Parish school officials have announced the proposed school calendar for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents you will want to take a look at the calendar so you will know the important days of the upcoming school year.

The upcoming  calendar does include some proposed changes, including a week long break at Thanksgiving, a fall break in October and full week break combining  Easter and Spring break. According to school officials the changes were made in the calendar to facilitate continuity in the school year.

The past few years have found one and two day holidays that meant more frequent interruptions in the educational process. Should parents have questions and concerns contact officials at the Lafayette Parish school board offices.
