Lafayette PD Investigates Another Shooting

A Sunday afternoon shooting at an apartment complex has left two people critically injured and police trying to identify a suspect.

Lafayette Police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton told our news partner, KATC, two people with gunshot wounds were located inside an apartment in the 200 block of Merchants Boulevard.

Officers responded at about 12:30 p.m. to the shooting that may have started as a domestic dispute.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals where they are both listed in critical condition.
