Lafayette Police: Alcohol Suspected In Crash Death

Around 6:15 Tuesday evening Lafayette Police say a woman died after her car was pushed into another car at the intersection of Moss Street and Halifax Drive.

Lafayette Police say 23-year-old Bryce Chapman's Camaro collided with 66-year-old Carol Richard's car, and pushed Richard's car into another vehicle.

Richard died after her car was engulfed in flames due to the crash.

Chapman has been charged with the following:

• Vehicular Homicide
• OWI 2^nd Offense
• Careless Operation
• 1^stDegree Negligent Injury
• Vehicular Negligent Injury (2 Counts)
