Lafayette Police are working to find the person or persons responsible for the theft of seven Ford F-250 trucks and one Ford F-350.

The trucks were all stolen between Saturday, April 18 and Monday, April 20.

All but one the trucks has been found by police.

Detectives say the after stealing the trucks, the thieves were putting them up for sale on Craig's list.

Potential customers were asked to meet the thieves at various apartment complexes, and they would do the truck transactions with fake paperwork.

Police are asking residents of Lafayette to look at these surveillance photos to see if they can catch the suspects.

The trucks were stolen from these addresses:

  • 2800 Ambassador Caffery Parkway
  • 2700 Ambassador Caffery Parkway
  • 100 Yorkshire Circle
  • 100 S. Meyers Drive
  • 1000 Robley Drive
  • 200 Liberty
  • 100 Alcide Dominigue Drive
  • 2300 North East EvangelineThruway

The pictures in this story are of two cars detectives believe are associated with the thefts.

The suspects are described as two black males.  One suspect is thought to be between 5 feet six inches to five feet nine inches tall with a thin build.

The only truck that has not yet been recovered by police is a 2005 beige F-250 truck that has Harley Davidson running boards on it.  The Louisiana license plate number is 700CFG.
