Lafayette Police Still Investigating Shooting At Apartment Complex

Around 2 o'clock this morning, Lafayette Police were called out to an apartment complex in the 600 block of Marie Antoinette regarding a shooting.

Corporal Paul Mouton says their preliminary investigation shows that the suspect went into an apartment, fired multiple shots from a pistol, and the victim was shot twice.

The suspect fled the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital in guarded condition.

Police continue to investigate the case.
