Lafayette Police Still Searching For Three Armed Robbery Suspects
Lafayette Police detectives are still trying to identify three people who are suspected of robbing a convenience store last Thursday and a fast food restaurant Friday.
On Thursday May 28 at around 2:20 a.m., Lafayette Police were called out to an armed robbery at a convenience story at 5714 Johnston Street.
Employees told detectives that three armed people came into the store and demanded money.
After taking cash and cigarettes, the three fled on foot.
The next day, Friday May 29 at around 4:45 a.m. the McDonald's on the Northeast Evangeline Thruway was robbed by three armed suspects.
They made off with cash.
Police say they may have left in a 4-door silver car.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
