The Lafayette Police Department will have a sobriety checkpoint within the Lafayette city limits this Friday night, March 18.

Police will start the sobriety checkpoint at 9 o'clock Friday night, and it will run through Saturday morning at 3 o'clock.

Officers working the checkpoint will response with zero tolerance to anyone under the influence.

Police remind drivers to always designate a driver, because if you don't, if you could mean costly fines and jail time.
