Another bout of Winter weather is moving across Louisiana this morning and it looks as if Acadiana will be just to the south of all the problems. A winter storm warning has been posted for Rapides Parish and Avoyelles Parish in Central Louisiana but that's as far south as the winter weather advisories go.

While the potential for freezing rain, sleet and snow is just slightly over an hours drive north of the heart of Acadiana, forecasters don't believe we will be slipping and sliding on frozen bridges and overpasses here. The current radar scan shows a large area of rain moving through South Louisiana at this time. Temperatures along and south of the U.S. Highway 190 corridor are expected to stay well above freezing so our only issue will be with rain.

The forecast calls for additional rainfall amounts of at least another inch or more over the next 24 hours as a stalled frontal system continues to produce disturbed weather until at least Wednesday.
