This past Monday I stopped by the auto parts place and picked up some new wiper blades for my car. My old ones were just about shot and the recent heavy rains had me driving with zero visibility. Yesterday afternoon, I was glad I made that choice.

Acadiana once again experienced a weekend full of clouds, showers, and heavy downpours. The good news is most of heavy rain has moved off to the east. The bad news, the clouds didn't get the memo and will most likely hang around for a day or so.

Temperatures today will feel quite mild compared to the temperatures we felt earlier in the week. The afternoon high today will be a very comfortable 65 degrees, but the air will be quite muggy. During the over night hours a cool front will slip through the area, this will bring Tuesday's temperatures into the below average range again with a high forecast of only 49.

The sunshine should return to Acadiana by late Wednesday evening but more likely Thursday morning when the cloudy conditions finally are pushed out of the area. Temperatures will also tumble a bit later in the week as a reenforcing shot of cold air settles over the region. By Thursday morning the early  morning low should be very close to freezing, with the slightly colder weather expected for Friday morning.
