The work week started with a nice general rainfall over much of Acadiana. That rain quickly  moved out and clear skies moved in. While the middle of the week seems to be sunny and pleasant we know you've got  plans for the weekend so let's see what Mother Nature is going to be throwing in our general direction.

According to Dave Baker's long range look for the next 8 days you might think he was running for public office. The upcoming weekend is going to be about as nice weather wise as we could hope for mid January. Afternoon temperatures for Friday, Saturday and Sunday should reach a nice sun soaked 60 degrees. The night time temperatures will be perfect for sitting on the patio, out at the camp or just rolling with the windows down.

The next significant chance of showers isn't even in the 8 day outlook. There will be a small chance of rain for Monday and Wednesday of early next week but nothing to ominous is on the horizon.

By the way if you're looking for things to fill your beautiful weekend schedule with we have some suggestions. Among those suggestions is a great live show this Saturday Night at The District. Frank Foster and Jaryd Lane will be raising the roof with several hundred of their closest friends. If you like your country on the rocking side then don't miss the weekend's biggest party at The District on Johnston Street.
