Lafayette Weather – Storms Moving Through

The morning commute will most likely be a wet one for anyone in Acadiana today. Storms moving through the area are the main focus of our Lafayette weather forecast . The current radar scan shows where the heaviest activity is now.

The forecast from KATC TV 3 suggests that this rain event will be a short lived one. Most of the shower and thunderstorm activity should be out of Acadiana by early afternoon. Chances are you will need your sunglasses for the ride home.

Rhythms on the River officials decided to pull the plug on their performance for this afternoon in River Ranch citing the potential for inclement weather and gusty winds. All other events for Friday and the weekend should go on as scheduled since the forecast for the weekend is wonderful.
