The Lafayette weather forecast includes a stormy Sunday afternoon and evening but nice weather for the rest of the work week. A frontal system now moving through central Texas should interact with warm Gulf of Mexico air over Acadiana as early as this afternoon.

A squall line of thunderstorms can be seen on the current radar scan. This line of storms will bring the potential for heavy thunderstorms and gusty winds through the evening  hours. The potential for severe weather is slight for most of the area through the next 12 to 24 hours.

The forecast for Monday indicates conditions will be improving. Mostly sunny skies will dominate the early part of the week with spring like temperatures in the afternoon.

Looking ahead to Patty in the Parc, Acadiana's largest St Patrick's Day Party on Saturday conditions should be wonderful for enjoying the music of Wayne Toups, The Molly Ringwalds and The Steve Adams Network.

Advance tickets for Patty in the Parc are available for just $10 at Schlotsky's on Pinhook and on Johnston. You may also get advance tickets at Lucky Deuces Casino in Duson. The ticket price will be $15 the day of the show.
