Saturday was absolutely perfect for Patty in the Parc in downtown Lafayette. What about today and the rest of your work week? It's been a while since we have had significant rainfall in the area and allergy sufferers are really feeling the effects of springtime.

If you were  hoping Mother Nature would clear the air sometime soon you are going to be disappointed. The rain chances for today are only slight and the outlook for rain the rest of the week is minimal. Residents of South Louisiana can expect breezy conditions today with a mix of clouds and sun. The same forecast will hold true for the first half of the work week as well.

By Wednesday a chance of showers should creep into the forecast with a better chance of rain on Thursday. A passing cold front on Thursday night will cool temperatures slightly by Friday morning. The outlook for next week end should be nice as well.

Gardeners will want to make sure that any new plantings are getting the water they need to get started for the growing season. It does look as if the potential for a killing frost has past us by in the section of the state.
