Lafayette weather for the week ahead appears to be fairly quiet with only the temperatures showing significant changes. Today found a good portion of the area along and north of Interstate 10 at or below the freezing mark when the sun came up. Afternoon temperatures should rebound nicely under abundant sunshine with a forecast high reaching 57.

By tomorrow afternoon temperatures will feel almost springlike with afternoon high temperatures reaching the low 70's. This should also be the case for Tuesday afternoon, except for a few more clouds and a slight risk of a shower. Then we will return to colder conditions later in the week.

Wednesday and Thursday will find a mix of clouds and sun but temperatures a little on the cool side. Actually these temperatures will be a little closer to average for this time of year than the warmer temperatures of earlier in the week. The current long range forecast into next weekend shows no significant rain or storm activity for the area.
