The question almost everyone is asking when it comes to weather, "When is it going to get warmer?" That might actually occur today and tomorrow in South Louisiana. Temperatures for the past several days have been well below normal and by Saturday afternoon the high should come very close to the normal for this time of year.

The other good news in the forecast is the absence of showers. Today and Saturday should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. The afternoon high today will make it into the lower 60's while Saturday we will almost reach 70 in the afternoon.

Rain chances will return to the forecast on Sunday, but only a slight risk of rain is forecast at the this time. Temperatures should remain seasonable with a chance of showers for the early part of the work week. By Thursday another bout of cooler weather will push into the area but it shouldn't be freezing cold.

Probably the best news we can bring you about the weather in Acadiana is the outlook for next Saturday March 15th. That is the day of Patty in the Parc, a great live music event in Downtown Lafayette. The forecast for that day is mostly sunny and 72! After a long gray spell it will feel nice to get out into the sunshine and dance away the winter blues.
