The goal of any actor is to convince the audience that what they are seeing is real. Maybe one actor from Lake Charles is a little too good at his craft. Justin T. Lebrun has filed a lawsuit against the hit television show NCIS: New Orleans and it's production company for an incident that happened last October and left him staring down the barrels of some very real police weapons.

Here's what happened. Lebrun was hired to play the part of a jewelry store robber. Which he was obviously very convincing at doing because on October 18th following a robbery scene at a strip mall in St. Bernard Parish the real police showed up. The real police had real weapons drawn and they had some really tough questions for Lebrun.

Lebrun, who hails from Lake Charles, has named CBS, NCIS: New Orleans and Danni Productions in a suit that claims producers failed to notify local law enforcement of the staged robbery.  Also included in the suit is a letter from a doctor that claims Lebrun suffered major depression, anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the ersatz robbery and subsequent police response.

Lawyers for CBS have not responded to the lawsuit.
