Motorist in Lake Charles who thought they were getting pulled over for traffic violations got quite a shock when the officer didn't hand them a ticket, but handed them a $100 instead. Christmas...Lake Charles, you're doing it right.

The officers say they gave the money to people they felt would truly appreciate it. Motorist, people on the street, people with kids, even people on city buses.

"God just answered by secret prayer, as usual, and I knew he would I just didn't expect y'all to be the ones to do it," said Cindy Brown after being handed $100 by an LCPD officer.

These officers targeted people they knew would appreciate it most; parents with many kids, people walking along the street, and LCPD's Kedrick Holiday stopped a bus, and chose a rider at random.

"I want to be a blessing to you," Holiday said.
