Lane Closure Scheduled For I-49 On Wednesday Night

Some installation work will cause I-49 to be reduced to one lane in the southbound direction at the I-10/I-49 overpass Wednesday night.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development officials say the closure is expected to last from 8 p.m. till 6 a.m., weather permitting. Then, while crews are installing the street light, I-49 will also be closed at the I-10/I-49 overpass, in both directions, on two occasions for about 45 minutes. During this time, traffic will be detoured to the I-10 on-ramps.
