Richard "Dick" Brennan Sr., a prominent New Orleans restauranteur, died on Saturday at the age of 84.

He, along with his family, led and managed some of the cities finest dining destinations.

There are no further details at this time on the cause of death.

A second generation member of the famed Brennan family, Dick had a hand in some of New Orleans' most famed restaurants including Palace Cafe, Mr. B's Bistro and Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse.

His children, Dickie Brennan Jr. and Lauren Brennan Brower, are still heavily involved with many Big Easy restaurants.
