Legislation Against Social Networking While Driving Unanimously Passes La. House
In a 94-0 vote, the ban on social networking while getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle has passed on the La. House floor.
Livingston Senator Dale Erdy's bill would prohibit drivers from using sites like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram on a mobile device while driving. "This simply closes a loophole about Facebook and tweeting while you are in the car," says Representative Karen St. Germain.
The bill now heads back to the Senate for final legislative passage.
