LHS Teacher Accused Of Having Sex With A Student

It was just a few short years ago that a female instructor for Ascension Episcopal School was arrested for inappropriate behavior with a student, now similar charges have been filed against an instructor at Lafayette High School.

According to Acadiana's News Authority NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL a teacher in the theater department at the school is alleged to have had sexual relations with a 17 year old student. You can read about the allegations here.

Investigators say they discovered that 30-year-old Blaine Peltier of Lafayette had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.  Police say the relationship happened between March and July of this year.

Police says he teaches at a high school within Lafayette Parish, and they say that the victim attends school at the same location.  They say the case remains under investigation.
