Liberian Ambassador Will Pay A Visit To Lafayette
Lafayette City Parish President Joey Durel announces that he will host the Liberian Ambassador, Jeremiah Sulenteh, this Friday.
The two plan to meet at Durel’s office at Lafayette City Hall at 10:30 a.m.
Ambassador Sulunteh will be in town along with the leaders of Change Agent Network to talk about thei issues including efforts to end civil war and their fight against Ebola.
Sulenteh is a professor, politician and administrator with a career of more than 30 years.
Sulenteh has held multiple jobs including:
Project Coordinator, Friends of Liberia, from 1995 to 1997
Accounts Service Representative, Royal Bank of Canada, from 1998 to 2000
Financial Aid Advisor, York University, Canada, from 2000, to 2002
Associate Vice President for Planning and Development, Cuttington University, Liberia from 2002 to 2005
Minister of Transport from 2006 to 2008
Minister of Post and Telecommunications from 2008 to 2010
Minister of Labor from 2010 to 2012
