Liza Minnelli Checks Into Rehab…Again

Liza Minnelli has checked herself into rehab.

The 69-year-old singer has been in rehab a few times before for a dependency on alcohol and prescription drugs. Her problems go back to a Valium addiction she picked up after her mother Judy Garland died of an overdose in 1969.

Her rep issued the following statement:

Liza Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so. She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility.

It is not yet known where Liza is in rehab. At any rate, our thoughts and prayers go out to her during this difficult time.
