A Scott fireman was injured while helping to remove a tree that had fallen on to a home. According to reports, the fireman was working to help remove a tree that had fallen on to a home at 309 Sylvia street.

Reports say the fireman who was working with others to remove the fallen tree from the roof of the property stepped through a weak spot in the roof. When he fell his hand made contact with the blade of a running chainsaw. That injury resulted in the fireman being sent to the hospital where 13 stitches were used to close the wound. It is thought that the fireman will make a complete and full recovery.

Other firefighters were able to continue working on the removal of the tree limbs from the roof of the house. They were also able to cover the damaged roof with a plastic cover to prevent further rain damage inside the home. None of the occupants inside the home were injured. They were relocated temporarily until the damage to the home could be assessed and repairs could be made.
