Local Students Provide Holiday Music At Acadiana Mall

If you find yourself shopping in Acadiana Mall in the evening around 6pm and you hear the delightful sound of holiday music filling the air you can thank a great group of young musicians for that boost to your holiday spirit.

Members of the Lafayette High School Piano Department are playing holiday tunes to celebrate the season weeknights for the next few weeks. They are set up near the food court area of the mall and performances begin in the evening around 6pm.

You will hear great holiday standards, unique twists on some holiday classics, and some innovative interpretations of the songs we know and love to celebrate Christmas. The performance is free. A very special thank you to Lafayette Music Company  for providing a lovely baby grand piano for the students to showcase their talents. The Lafayette High Piano Department is under the direction of Ellen McLemore and the department boasts 70 very talented students and performers.
