Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team locked up a home and home series with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, the university announced on Thursday.

Louisiana will travel to Tulsa on September 9th, 2017, with the Golden Hurricanes visiting Cajun field on September 28th, 2019. It will mark the first meeting between the two schools in football since 1992.

"Tulsa is an outstanding football program that has enjoyed great success for a number of years," Ragin’ Cajun head coach Mark Hudspeth said in a press release. "This will be a great head-to-head matchup against a quality non-conference opponent and it will create a very good environment when we play against each other at both universities."

Louisiana leads the all-time series against Tulsa with a record of 5-4.

"We're excited to resume a football series against a school that has a great tradition in Tulsa," Louisiana athletic director Scott Farmer said in a press release. "Our goal is to schedule home-and-home series against teams that our fans will enjoy watching, and Tulsa has had a history of success."

The Ragin' Cajuns open the 2014 Season on August 30th when they host Southern University.
