Louisiana Delays Electronic Tax Filing Until Feb. 6

Back in December, the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) stated that Louisiana taxpayers would be able to file an electronic state tax return on their website starting today. That has been delayed.

Louisiana File Online, the state's free tax filing web application, will begin accepting returns on February 6.

They are, however, now accepting printed 2016 state individual income tax returns along with those filed electronically through commercially-available tax prep software.

2016 state individual income tax return forms are available at www.revenue.louisiana.gov/taxforms.

The deadline to file with the state is Monday, May 15.
