Louisiana Grammy Nominees

The 58th annual Grammy Awards will be held on Monday, February 15, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. We are a state that is blessed with great music of all kinds, and we have many many Grammy Awards winners from here in Louisiana.. This year is no exception, with several of our finest musicians getting nominations.

Thanks to our friends at NOLA.com for the info on Grammy nominees with Louisiana ties. Some of the 2016 nominees include Tim McGraw, who is nominated for Best Country Song for "Diamond Rings and Old Barstools", Buddy Guy for "Born to Play Guitar" in the Best American Roots category, Lafayette's own The Revelers for Best Regional Roots Music Album for "Get Ready,"  Lil Wayne for his work with Nickie Minaj, Terence Blanchard for Best Instrumental Jazz Album, and Jon Cleary. We are also the only state to host a  luncheon for all of our state nominees every year in Los Angeles - you can just imagine how much fun THAT is!
