North and Southwest Louisiana are dealing with dangerous high waters as a result of last weeks storms that hammered the area dropping as much two feet of a rain in some areas. A Greenwell Springs man has shot some drone footage of the flooding around the Comite River and the Amite River set it to Randy Newman's "Louisiana 1927" and the result is something more touching that I expected.

The song "Louisiana 1927" was originally recorded by Randy Newman on the album Good Old Boys. It was most recently included on the Hurricane Katrina charity album, "Our New Orleans". The song is about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 that left 700,000 people homeless in Louisiana and Mississippi.

I've seen plenty of videos with drone footage of the devastating flooding right now in Louisiana, but paired with this song, YouTuber Wally really made it hit home.
