If the current trend among movie makers continues aspiring actors and actresses will be heading to a different L.A. to chase their dreams. The motion picture industry in LA, Louisiana, is booming and indications are that it will stay that way.

Production companies are currently pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into the state's economy with several major films in production in the state.

According to Chris Stelly, executive director for Louisiana Entertainment, films like The Fantastic Four, Terminator 5, Pitch Perfect 2 and a new Jurassic Park film are all adding to "Hollywood South's" resume'.

"Just to put it into perspective, over the course of 2013 we certified over 800 million dollars in direct in-state spending,"

Stelly's comments were reported by the Louisiana Radio Network. He went on to say that the motion picture industry is drawn to the state for several reasons. Among those reasons are the state's very generous tax credits. Louisiana was a pioneer in offering tax credits as an incentive for movie makers to create films in our state.

If you're into star gazing and catching a glimpse of Hollywood's elite, Stelly says some pretty big names will be working in the state over the summer months.

"Nicholas Cage will be back and I consider him a local now he's been here so much. We'll have Jesse Eisenberg, Kristin Stewart, Reese Witherspoon and Arnold Schwarzenegger,"

Currently major motion pictures are in production in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and in the Shreveport area.
