The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball team knew that they were going to be in for a fight against #2 Kansas in one of the toughest atmospheres in college basketball. The Cajuns held a 10 point lead at one point in the first half but Kansas came back and would take the lead at the half and not look back as they won 89-76.

Justin Miller was the driving force for the Cajuns in the first half to help give the Cajuns a big lead and make the Jayhawks sweat this one out. Miller set a new career high in points with 22, all of which came in the first half. The Cajuns controlled the game for the majority of the first half but the turning point came when Bill Self got a technical foul which would power the Jayhawks comeback.

Both teams had a 17-3 run in the first half to make it a wild back and forth game. The Cajuns came out struggling in the second half and the Jayhawks started out fast which helped extend their lead. The Cajuns made it a 1 point game with less than 8 minutes left but Kansas pulled away for the 13 point victory in the last 5 minutes of the game.

The Cajuns who fell to 1-2 on the young season will now look to the Gulf Coast Showcase as they will play Colorado State to kick off the showcase on Monday, November 19th. They will either play Florida Gulf Coast or Toledo in the 2nd game before playing another game on Wednesday, November 21st.
