We make many lists in Louisiana. Most of them good, some of them not so good. We've shown up on one of those not so good ones this time.

Wallethub.com has placed Louisiana as the fifth-worst school system in the United States. They used 13 different criteria for the list, some of these being math and reading test scores, student-teacher ratio, dropout rates, standardized-test scores. They also included reported bullying incidences.

There is at least some good news coming out of the report though. Wallethub.com ranks Louisiana No. 19 in the country for average SAT scores.

Arizona, Nevada, District Of Columbia and Alaska are the states that ranked lower than us.
