16-year-old Darius Washington achieved something pretty amazing -- a perfect ACT score.

That's right, the Neville High student tallied an amazing 36 score on the standardized college admissions test.

Washington said he had taken the test a few times before and had a good idea what to expect.

His advice to other students? "Manage your time wisely because if you run out of time that directly affects your score. If you don't get to questions, then you can't answer them," he said.

Everyone at the Monroe-based high school is excited for this young man.

"We are not surprised, but we are very proud," said Neville Assistant Principal Whitney Martin.

Washington plans to stay close to home for college and attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe and major in computer science.
