The statewide outdoor burn banned that was ordered in Louisiana back on November 5th has now been lifted.

State Fire Marshal Butch Browning said in a news release that the was lifted at 4pm on Monday.

Browning and Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain ordered the ban earlier this month due to the dry conditions over the last several weeks. The ban was for all but four of Louisiana's 64 parishes. Bossier, Iberville, St. Landry and St. Mary parishes had been exempt.

Keep in mind that outdoor burning remains subject to state and local laws and regulations.
