From Louisiana State Police -

"Through further investigation, Troopers determined Abraham was driving his Ford truck at more than twice the posted speed limit of 25 mph when it struck the pedestrians from behind.  A 15 year old juvenile died at the scene.  A 14 year old juvenile died during transport to St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.  The third pedestrian, a 13 year old juvenile, was airlifted by Acadian Ambulance/Air-Med to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge with serious injuries and is currently listed in stable condition. 

 

Upon his release from the hospital, Abraham will be booked at the St. Martin Parish Jail and charged with: Two counts of Vehicular Homicide, one count of 1st Degree Vehicle Negligent Injuring, Reckless Operation, Expired License Plate, No Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker, No Insurance, Resisting an Officer With Force or Violence, Battery of a Police Officer, Drivers to Exercise Due Care Near Pedestrians and Felony Hit and Run (this a new charge not previously released)."
