The second-ranked LSU Tigers continue their eight-game homestand on Friday night, playing host to the tenth-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, SEC series, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU is currently 38-4, overall, and 15-3 in SEC play, while South Carolina will come in at 31-11, overall, and 11-7 in conference play.

LSU’s 38-4 mark is the best 42-game record in the history of the Fighting Tiger program. LSU has won 20 of its last 22 games and holds a four-game lead over Arkansas in the SEC Western Division.

The Tigers are one game behind Vanderbilt in the overall SEC standings. LSU’s 15-3 league mark is the school’s best through 18 conference games since the 1986 club was also 15-3.

LSU leads the all-time series with South Carolina, 31-22-1, and has won nine of the last 11 games.

Game times for the series are 7 o'clock on Friday night, 6:30 pm on Saturday evening, and 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
