I probably don't have the same opinion of die hard football fans when it comes to bowl games. My thought is this, if you're not playing for the national title then hope your team goes to a bowl game where there is something more than football to do.

That's what makes the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl such an attraction for teams around the nation and I think the same can be said for the Music City Bowl in Nashville.

This year the Franklin Mortgage Music City Bowl has a great match up of storied programs. Let's face it LSU and Notre Dame are among the top 5 when it comes to name recognition in the world of NCAA football.  This certainly is more attractive than last year's LSU versus Iowa match up in the Outback Bowl.

So when you combine a great football match up with a city like Nashville that's within driving distance, has plenty of hotel space, and more than a football game to make the trip exciting you want to go. LSU fans are responding by the thousands. The Tiger ticket office says they have about 700 tickets of their allotted 8-thousand tickets left for the game. If the demand continues the way it has this past week those tickets will be gone by the end of this week.

The Music City Bowl is scheduled for December 30th at LP Field in Nashville. Kick off is set for 2pm. For fans not making the trip you can watch the game on ESPN.
