The LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday, when they play host to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in a non-conference match-up at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

The game, which marks the fourth home tilt of the year for LSU, will be televised on the SEC Network.

The contest will also be the second for the Tigers under the direction of interim head coach Ed Orgeron, who replaced former coach Les Miles, who was fired after the fourth game of the season.

LSU, who had their scheduled SEC contest against Florida last week postponed, defeated Missouri, 42-7, back on October 1, the first under Orgeron, and is 3-2, overall, and 2-1 in SEC play.

Offensively, the Tigers are averaging 25.2 points, 398.4 total yards, 237.0 rushing yards, and 161.4 passing yards-per-game, while allowing 14.8 points, 326.0 total yards, 108.2 rushing yards, and 217.8 passing yards a contest, defensively.

LSU is led by junior quarterback Danny Etling, who has completed 59-of-101 passes for 649 yards and three touchdowns, along with junior running back Leonard Fournette, who has piled up 386 yards, along with two touchdowns, on 67 carries, and sophomore Derrius Guice, who has compiled 402 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Southern Miss, who lost to UTSA, 55-32, last week, will enter the match-up at 4-2, overall, and 2-1 in Conference-USA play.

The Golden Eagles are averaging 40.2 points-per-game, to go along with 532.2 total yards, including 213.5 rushing yards and 318.7 passing yards, while allowing 27.0 points, 315.8 total yards, including 159.5 rushing yards and 156.3 passing yards.

Southern Miss is paced by senior quarterback Nick Mullens, who has thrown for 1,874 yards and 16 touchdowns, and junior running back Ito Smith, who has rushed for 711 yards and 6 touchdowns.

This will be only the third all-time meeting between the two schools, and the first since 1994, with each tem winning one game.

Kickoff time is set for 6:30 pm.
