There are a lot of questions that LSU football fans have regarding the status of the Tiger program. Coach Ed Orgeron and his staff have been working to put answers to the questions in place before the fall of 2018 arrives. Tiger fans should be optimistic that at least some of pieces to the Tiger football puzzle are starting to fall into place.

Yesterday in a now ordinary overhyped college football commitment announcement Derek Stingley Jr committed to play football at LSU. Stingley was one of the most sought-after defensive backs in the nation so his letter of intent is a great sign of good things to come for LSU football.

The Tigers had already gotten a commitment from 5-star offensive line prospect Cardell Thomas from Baton Rouge. So the announcement from Stingley Jr. brings yet another 5-star prospect into the program.

Last month LSU received word that former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow would be transferring to Baton Rouge where he is expected to compete for the starting job next season.

Say what you will about Coach O but one thing history has shown, the man can recruit. He even convinced people to come to play at Ole Miss once upon a time so you know he knows how to sell a program.

Quite frankly, I don't think the LSU coaches have to worry too much about selling LSU football to recruits. The tradition, the facilities, and the addition of nationally sought-after recruits will continue to make Baton Rouge a "must-play" destination.
