The LSU football team has moved into the top 10 of the AP Top 25 national rankings after a 56 point shutout of Sam Houston State on Saturday.

Bossier City native Brandon Harris got his first scores as an LSU Tiger. The true freshman played extensively in both halves scoring his first touchdown on a 46 yard run in which he broke several tackles. Harris' first touchdown pass came in the fourth quarter on an 8 yard connection to true freshman Malachi Dupre.

The Tigers came out hot, Anthony Jennings connected with Travin Dural on a 94 yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage. Jennings had three touchdown passes in all.

Freshman running back Leonard Fournette led the Tigers in rushing with 92 yard on 13 carries. He also scored on a four yard Touchdown run in the first quarter.

LSU moves up to number 10 in the AP Poll, but is at number nine in the Coaches Poll.
