The LSU Tigers won at home on Wednesday night, defeating the North Florida Ospreys, 119-108, in non-conference play at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge.

The win snapped LSU's three-game losing streak, while keeping them unbeaten in four games at home this season.

Trailing, 56-48, at halftime, the Tigers went on a 23-15 run over the first 5:34 of the second half, to grab a 72-71 lead with 14:26 remaining.

Leading, 83-82, with 11:16 left, LSU went on a 9-4 run over the next 2:24, to extend their advantage to 92-86, with 8:54 to go.

That proved to be the run that put the game away, as the Tigers never relinquished the lead, and went on to the 11-point win in the offensive showcase.

LSU ended the game outshooting North Florida from the field, 64%/51%, while also finishing with a 37/35 rebound advantage.

Ben Simmons led the way for the Tigers, finishing with a game-high 43 points and 14 rebounds, while Tim Quarterman added 20 points and 5 rebounds.

In a losing cause for the Ospreys, Beau Beech and Dallas Moore had 31 points each.

With the victory, LSU improved to 4-3 on the young season, while North Florida dropped to 6-3.

The Tigers return to action on Sunday night, when they travel to meet Houston.
