The top-ranked LSU Tigers won the rubber game of a a three-game weekend SEC series on Sunday, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks, 5-3, in ten innings, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Arkansas grabbed the lead early early, scoring a run in the bottom half of the first inning, as Tyler spoon singled home Jacob Mahan, giving the Razorbacks a quick 1-0 lead.

LSU wrestled away the lead in the top half of the third inning, scoring three runs, on two hits, with shortstop Alex Bregman providing most of the damage, blasting a two-out, two-run home run, as the Tigers jumped on top, 3-1.

Jordan Farris got Arkansas one run closer in the bottom half of the inning, belting a solo homer, to cut the LSU lead to 3-2.

The Razorbacks tied things in the bottom of the fourth inning, as Brian Anderson doubled, and then scored on a single off the bat of Dominic Ficociello, making the score 3-3.

The game stayed that way until the top of the tenth inning, when LSU got a leadoff single from Ty Ross, setting the stage for a two-run inning. Jared Foster, running for Ross, scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Sean McMullen, giving the Tigers a 4-3 lead, before Raph Rhymes singled home Mark Laird, making it 5-3.

The Razorbacks got the tying run at the plate in the bottom half of the tenth, but the Tigers held on for the two-run win.

Bregman led LSU at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a homer, and two RBI's.

Chris Cotton (2-0) got the win for the Tigers, while Chris Oliver (2-1) suffered then loss for the Razorbacks.

With the victory, LSU improved to 34-3, overall, and 13-2 in SEC play, while Arkansas dipped to 25-12, overall, and 9-6 in league play.
