Maine Man’s 1990 Honda Accord Hits Million Mile Mark

Remember when 100,000 miles on a vehicle was a lot? Not so much anymore.

Joe LoCicero of Saco, Maine recently became the owner of a brand new 2012 Honda Accord. This after his 1990 Honda Accord surpassed the 1 million mile mark! He was presented the new Accord by Honda.

According to a Honda spokesperson, this is the first documented 1 million mile Accord.

LoCicero also got a parade from the city for he and his car!

How does one get that many miles out of a ride? Doesn't hurt that one be a former mechanic. LoCicero said the secret to the car's longevity is following maintenance schedules, using quality parts and driving safely.
