Apparently, if you want to keep up your New Year's resolution and lose some weight, just eat at McDonald's every day.

John Cisna of Ankeny, Iowa did just that and lost 37 pounds in three months!

The science teacher at Colo-Nesco High in Colo, Iowa, thought it would be an interesting experiment for his class to see if he could lose weight by eating just McDonald's.

So he and the class analyzed the nutritional information and put together some options for him to eat at the fast food giant three meals every day. The objective was to keep it to 2,000 calories a day.

His typical breakfast was two egg white McMuffins and maple oatmeal. For lunch he'd have one of the salads and dinner would be a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder value meal with fries and ice cream.

At the end of the experiment, he had lost 37 pounds. Amazingly, his cholesterol dropped from 249 to 170.

One caveat to the story, John also began walking 45 minutes a day. Nonetheless, it's still an amazing story and kudos to this educator for being active in teaching his kids.
