Man Shot And Killed On Jefferson Street Over The Weekend Identified

This past weekend three people were shot on Jefferson St. in Lafayette. One of the victims died as a result. The identity of that victim has just been released.

KATC reports the coroner has identified the victim as 23-year-old George Ford.

The other two shooting victims are reportedly doing well and are expected to make full recoveries.

A spokesman with the Lafayette Police Department says a suspect is not wanted, but did not elaborate further.
