One California man had a really good day recently when he won the lottery not once but twice in the same day.

Rodney Meadows of Modesto was out running errands on November 23 when he decided to pick up some scratch-off tickets at a convenience store.

He won $1,000 on the first ticket he bought so decided to try his luck again and bought some more tickets. That's when Meadows hit it big -- like $10 million big!

Meadows was in such disbelief that he made the clerk at the store check his ticket twice to make sure he was seeing the numbers correctly

“I could not believe it. I had to ask the clerk at the store, and he said, ‘You better check it again on the machine,’” Meadows told lottery officials.

According to a Lottery spokesperson, the odds of winning the top prize was 1-in-3 million.

But Meadows was no stranger to winning big. He had twice won $1,000.

Meadows told lottery officials he has yet to decide what he will do with his new found fortune.
