There is a mandatory curfew tonight from 8:00pm until 5:00am for unincorporated portions of Acadia Parish.

Additionally, curfew is in effect for flooded areas of Crowley from 8:00pm to 5:00am.

The city of Church Point has also issued a mandatory curfew from 8:00pm to 5:00am.

Water continues to rise in some areas of the parish as the Mermentau River has not yet reached its crest. That is expected to happen on Thursday.

In other news, despite rumors to the contrary, the city of Crowley is not under a boil advisory.

In order for Acadia Parish to receive an official FEMA disaster designation and for affected residents and businesses to be eligible for FEMA resources, the parish has to have supported evidence of loss. If you've been affected by the flood, send pictures of your damaged property with property address, stating how deep the water was, whether you own the property, and whether you have flood insurance.

You are asked to send this information to lfaul@appj.org or call 337-788-8800 when the APPJ Office opens.
