Memorial Day Tribute to Be Held on Saturday in Lafayette
Vietnam Veterans of America, Acadiana Chapter #141, will be holding an event Saturday at 10am to honor the memory of Louisiana’s fallen soldiers. The tribute will be held at 300 N. Dugas Road in Lafayette.
At this great event, Gold Star families from the State of Louisiana are honored with a patriotic tribute that will include a balloon launch, reading of the names and folding of a memorial flag.
There will also be a drawing held for Gold Star families. The grand prize includes an overnight stay at a local bed and breakfast, dinner and event passes.
Following the event, a meal will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
Veterans are encouraged to attend in uniform.
