Actor Meshach Taylor, who was most noted for his co-starring role on the hit CBS sit-com "Designing Women", passed away on Saturday night from cancer at the age of 67.

Taylor was in hospice care at his family's home in Altadena, California. He was surrounded by his wife, children and mother when he passed.

"Designing Women" ran from 1986 to 1993 and Taylor was a favorite of me and my family's growing up. He played the lovable assistant Anthony Bouvier.

In 1989, Taylor was nominated for an Emmy Award in the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category.

During his career, Taylor had roles in a slew TV shows including Nickelodeon's “Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide,” “Dave's World,” “The Incredible Hulk,” and “ALF".

He is survived by his wife Bianca, daughters Tamar Taylor, Esme Taylor, Yasmine Taylor, son Tariq Taylor, and four grandchildren.
