Mark your calendars for Feb. 8, Miranda Lambert fans. That’s when the singer will make her acting debut on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ While Lambert has appeared on NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ she did so in a performance capacity, so this is her scripted TV bow.

CMT reported the air date of this much anticipated guest spot. In this particular episode of the popular NBC crime procedural, a wannabe actress is found in Central Park. She is unconscious, has drugs in her system and has been sexually assaulted. Lambert plays an actress who is in danger of being assaulted by a reality show producer. Perhaps there is a connection there.

Lambert’s fellow guest stars on this episode include crooner Harry Connick Jr. and actor Michael McKean. McKean will play the sleazy producer harassing Lambert’s character.

Will you be tuning in to watch Lambert’s acting debut? Perhaps the bigger question is will Lambert’s fellow country superstar Taylor Swift be watching? Swift makes no secret of her rampant love of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ -we’re half expecting her to write a song about it- so we’re thinking she’ll be tuning in and checking out Lambert.
